Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Collaborative RN Registered Nurse to join the AHN Cancer Institute at Allegheny General Hospital on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality patient care by managing complex oncology treatment and clinic patients, ensuring safe and effective management, and coordinating care for patients with complex needs.
What You'll Do
- Administer intravenous therapies following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing for adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance and safety by adhering to infection control practices and safety standards.
- Educate patients and families on infusion therapy procedures, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records of infusion details and patient responses.
What We're Looking For
- High School/GED
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR certification
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing / BSN
- Experience in IV Therapy
- Experience in Oncology
- Experience in Chemotherapy administration
- Experience in Ambulatory care
- Infusion Therapy Certification
