Saint Luke's Health System is hiring a Coder I Inpatient to support our billing, reporting, and compliance efforts. You will review medical record documentation for lower acuity inpatients to accurately assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes, while analyzing and abstracting pertinent data.
What You'll Do
- Code procedures and diagnoses for inpatient accounts
- Assign present on admission indicators to diagnoses
- Query clinical providers when appropriate
- Abstract pertinent data
- Meet established quality standards
- Meet established productivity standards
- Communicate with the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team
- Telecommute as part of the role
What We're Looking For
- Applicable coding experience of less than 1 year
Nice to Have
- Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS

This is a hybrid position with telecommuting. The schedule is Full Time Day shift in the United States.
