What You'll Do
In this role, you'll contribute to engineering efforts that support coastal protection and ecological restoration. You'll help develop technical analyses, design plans, and permitting documents for projects involving beach nourishment, living shorelines, inlet management, and habitat restoration. Fieldwork is a key component, including data collection for hydrographic, topographic, and environmental assessments.
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of professionals—including engineers, ecologists, geomorphologists, and hydrologists—to move projects from concept to implementation. You'll draft technical reports, support construction oversight, and assist in modeling and design using industry-standard tools. As experience grows, you'll review peers' work and support junior staff through mentorship.
The position requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. You’ll work both independently and as part of integrated teams, with opportunities for hybrid work after performance benchmarks are met.

- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to accept feedback and grow through mentorship and hands-on project involvement.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Florida and nearby coastal states for field assignments.
