Woodward is looking for a CNC Machinist, Level 1 to join our team on a 2nd shift, 4x10 schedule. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision metal parts. Your work will be guided by detailed instructions and a commitment to quality, safety, and lean manufacturing principles.

What You'll Do

Perform basic setup and operate multiple CNC or Manual machines (Lathes, Milling, Swiss, Grinding-OD/ID) to produce precision metal parts.
Perform supporting operations like manual material removal and sub-assembly.
Perform first piece inspections.
Follow detailed work instructions to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.
Interpret engineering blueprints and apply basic GD&T knowledge.
Use various gages to inspect finished products and record/maintain data per SOPs.
Apply 5S principles to improve workstation organization and cleanliness.
Adhere to safety protocols and encourage team safety.
Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and the daily management system.

What We're Looking For

Skilled in operating multiple CNC or Manual machining equipment (Lathes, Mills, Swiss, OD/ID Grinders).
Proficient in supporting operations.
Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and basic GD&T knowledge.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and components.
Ability to use inspection gaging and hand/power tools.
Uses basic software (email, spreadsheets, data entry tools).
Follows lean practices such as 5S and waste reduction.
Understands and adheres to standardized work.
Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR/EAR or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
