The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in supporting continuous and efficient operations at the Querétaro RPC Plant. This position is responsible for conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance across a range of industrial equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and extend asset life.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks and inspect machinery to identify potential mechanical, electrical, or operational issues
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform necessary repairs or component replacements to reduce downtime
- Interpret technical documentation such as schematics, blueprints, and manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of service work, including work orders, parts usage, and repair outcomes
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to production
- Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a secure working environment for all personnel
- Work closely with operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support smooth workflow
- Support the improvement of maintenance processes and equipment reliability through ongoing evaluation and feedback
- Use hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic instruments, with precision and care
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate prior experience in a maintenance or technical support role. Strong familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment is required. Candidates must be able to read and apply information from technical manuals and engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are critical to success in this role.
A technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is preferred. Candidates must be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on operational needs.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position located at the Querétaro RPC Plant. The role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to respond to after-hours maintenance demands when necessary.
