Intetics Inc. is looking for a senior hands-on Principal / Lead C++ Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and implementation of a cross-platform remote desktop client built on an RDP-compatible or open-source foundation. This role combines deep systems engineering expertise with technical leadership in a focused team environment.
What You'll Do
- Define the client architecture and technical roadmap
- Lead implementation of an RDP-compatible client with enhanced media and collaboration behavior
- Design and validate a strategy for audio/video optimization, redirection, compression, and additional data channels
- Own integration with tunneled VDI connectivity and endpoint device handling
- Build proof-of-concepts and de-risk the hardest items early: media path, Teams/Zoom/Meet behavior, reconnect/session resilience
- Set coding standards, review architecture, and guide 2–4 implementation engineers
- Deliver executable, source code, documentation, and knowledge transfer at project close
What We're Looking For
- Highly skilled and experienced in C++ systems engineering
- Senior hands-on engineer with proven ability to lead technical design and implementation
- Experience with remote desktop protocols or RDP-compatible technologies
- Strong background in real-time audio/video collaboration systems
- Experience in VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) environments
- Expertise in cross-platform desktop client development
- Deep understanding of networking, tunneling, and secure connectivity
- Proven experience in multimedia optimization, compression, and data channel management
- Ability to lead and mentor 2–4 engineers
- Experience building proof-of-concepts and de-risking complex technical challenges
Nice to Have
- Experience with WebRTC
- Familiarity with behavior of collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet in remote environments
- Knowledge of session resilience and reconnect mechanisms in remote desktop clients
