Jabil is hiring a Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain the embedded software for optical transceivers, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently. This role requires deep hardware and software knowledge to design, implement, test, and debug firmware for these devices.
What You'll Do
- Write, debug, and test firmware for optical transceivers using C or C++.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless firmware-hardware integration.
- Thoroughly test firmware to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Debug and resolve issues with firmware and hardware integration.
- Optimize firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption.
- Maintain detailed documentation of firmware code and functionality.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers.
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. for more senior positions.
