Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc. is hiring a CNC Machine Operator (2nd or 3rd Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and fine-tune semi-automatic or CNC-controlled machines to carry out standard, repeatable production tasks, gradually gaining familiarity with setup procedures.
  • Use established tooling methods and follow defined processes while maintaining required dimensional tolerances.
  • Adhere to detailed work instructions, including standard coding and operational data, to install or replace tools and position components.
  • Conduct periodic inspections during production; make adjustments to machine stops and fixtures to meet finish and tolerance standards.
  • Interpret part drawings and apply precision measurement tools to verify work quality, identifying any deviations.
  • Identify and communicate equipment malfunctions, tool wear, or other operational issues promptly.
  • Support setup activities or assist in validating machine programs as needed.
  • Perform under supervision with regular review of work methods and output quality.
