Solidgate is looking for a Cloud Architect to take real ownership in a build-first role. You will be focused on building the foundations of a new, high-performance platform, designing, evolving, and ensuring the reliability of a multi-region payment architecture.

What You'll Do

Own the design, evolution, and reliability of a multi-region payment architecture.
Own the performance and scalability of RDS/PostgreSQL/Aurora and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, including sharding, partitioning, and high-load optimisation.
Own the delivery and adoption of a cell-based architecture.
Own the end-to-end automation of database upgrades and migrations.
Own automated failover strategies to increase system uptime.
Own the implementation of SRE practices, including Chaos Engineering, and the integration of Observability with SRE metrics across teams.
Own the continuous improvement of Incident Management in the company.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience designing and operating high-scale, multi-region cloud architectures.
Deep, hands-on expertise in performance tuning and scaling PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
Strong background in infrastructure-as-code and automation, with a focus on reliability and SRE principles.
Ability to take full ownership of complex technical domains and drive them from design to adoption.
Experience leading the implementation of SRE practices such as Chaos Engineering and Observability.
