The Cloud Applications Consultant plays a key technical and advisory role in deploying the Documentum product suite within enterprise environments. Working directly with global clients, this professional translates business requirements into scalable technical solutions, overseeing installation, customization, integration, and testing with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, representing the organization professionally across customer, partner, and internal teams
- Collaborate with delivery managers and project leads to ensure timely communication of progress, risks, and resolution strategies
- Engage in solution planning sessions and contribute to scoping discussions and proposal development
- Perform hands-on configuration, development, and administration of Documentum platforms including Content Server, D2, Webtop, DFS, and related components
- Support incident resolution and participate in change and release management processes
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, status reports, and time tracking records in line with established procedures
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through mentoring, training delivery, and on-the-job guidance for both internal teams and client personnel
- Identify process deviations and recommend improvements to enhance implementation efficiency
- Maintain compliance with technical methodologies and pursue advanced certification in Documentum technologies
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Enterprise Content Management principles and architecture
- Proven experience with Documentum D2LS and the life sciences sector
- Familiarity with core Documentum technologies: DFC, BOF, WDK, DQL, Xplore, CTS, Tomcat, and Documentum Administrator
- Hands-on administration skills in Unix and Windows environments
- Programming experience using Core Java and DFC within object-oriented frameworks
- Understanding of LDAP, RDBMS, and Web Services integration
- Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot in distributed, fast-moving project settings
- 3 to 5 years of relevant technical implementation experience
