Role Overview
As a Clinical Specialist for TEG technology, you will lead clinical support and education across a defined territory, working directly with hospitals and healthcare providers. Your primary focus will be ensuring safe, efficient, and independent use of TEG analyzers, software, and disposables through hands-on training, ongoing support, and strategic relationship development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support existing customer accounts, driving increased utilization of TEG systems and expanding use to new clinical areas
- Deliver comprehensive training to clinicians on device operation, software features, assay applications, and result interpretation
- Support new customer implementations, including on-site activation, workflow integration, and competency validation
- Develop clinical champions within institutions and build relationships with key stakeholders, including department leads and decision-makers
- Respond to technical, operational, and clinical inquiries, providing timely resolution and escalation when needed
- Collaborate with sales and implementation teams to align clinical strategy with business objectives
- Host educational events, deliver grand rounds, and provide case-based support across shifts, including after-hours as required
- Use CRM tools to document interactions, track customer progress, and inform clinical outreach planning
- Support laboratory validation, SOP development, IQCP compliance, and interface setup during installations
- Stay current with advancements in hemostasis management through professional development and engagement with medical societies
- Contribute insights from the field to product development, marketing, and R&D teams
- Assist in sourcing donor blood and managing logistics for TEG program needs
- Participate in regional and national trade shows and support market development initiatives
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a science or medical-related field, along with at least three years of experience in a clinical or medical device environment—particularly in critical care. Proven ability to train healthcare professionals, strong project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of hemostasis are essential. Experience with complex diagnostic systems and comfort engaging clinicians at all levels are required.
A Master’s degree in science, health sciences, or business administration is preferred. Familiarity with CRM platforms, TEG software, and clinical workflow integration tools is expected.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA, requiring frequent domestic travel (50–75%) to support customers across the region. The position may involve on-site work during non-standard hours to support live implementations and urgent clinical needs.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $66,060.29 to $109,051.90, with actual offers determined by location, experience, and qualifications. The role is eligible for sales incentives under company plan terms, a discretionary annual bonus, and participation in the long-term incentive plan.
