Medtronic is seeking a Clinical Specialist for Pelvic Health to support our Neuroscience Portfolio in the Newark/Dover, Delaware territory. This field-based position focuses on providing surgical support and customer education for sacral neuromodulation and percutaneous tibial neuromodulation systems. You will be a vital clinical resource, traveling extensively to accounts and playing a key role in therapy adoption.
What You'll Do
- Represent Medtronic during surgeries and implants by providing equipment and demonstrating expertise in device selection, programming, implantation, and testing.
- Maintain current knowledge of assigned products and services as well as competitive products.
- Proactively identify needs and educate a broad level of caregivers and account employees for both new and existing accounts.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters through one-on-one sessions, in-service programs, seminars, or symposiums.
- Assist the district manager and in-house training department with the education and training of new employees.
- Provide sales support during or following cases, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices.
- Place orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
- Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at the regional and/or national level.
- Understand and follow all applicable quality policy and system items to ensure compliance.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience; OR
- An Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of patient care/clinical experience.
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory, with possible overnight travel.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Clinical skill and knowledge, such as the ability to conduct a trial, implant, or refill a pump.
- Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience.
- Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use.
- Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company and clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals.
- Ability to coach others on product use and clinical applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to a District Manager. This is an individual contributor role focused on clinical support and education within a defined territory.
