Deliver skilled nursing care directly in patients’ homes as part of a clinical research team conducting vital studies. This PRN (per diem) position offers flexibility for licensed nurses who thrive in independent, patient-centered environments and are committed to maintaining rigorous research standards.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-home nursing visits, performing clinical assessments and monitoring patient responses throughout study participation.
- Administer investigational treatments according to protocol and document all procedures with precision.
- Perform required diagnostic tests—such as vital sign measurement, ECGs, and specimen collection—and ensure proper handling and shipment of samples.
- Educate participants on medication use, treatment plans, and study expectations to support informed engagement.
- Report adverse events or clinical changes promptly to the Principal Investigator and ensure patient safety remains central.
- Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and institutional policies to uphold ethical research standards and participant protection.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with study teams and participants to foster trust and protocol adherence.
What You Need
- Active nursing license in the state of Wisconsin
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, associate degree, or diploma)
- At least two years of acute care experience post-licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ICH-GCP certification or willingness to obtain it
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including variable hours and local travel
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in clinical research or trial coordination
- Familiarity with mobile health technologies and Microsoft Office applications
- Training or certification in hazardous materials transport (or willingness to be trained)
