As a Clinical Product Specialist, you will drive clinical integration of advanced monitoring technologies within high-acuity hospital environments, specifically focusing on operating rooms, neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the adoption of cerebral and somatic oximetry and pulse oximetry systems through direct engagement with clinicians, hospital staff, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical demonstrations and evaluations prior to sale, ensuring healthcare providers understand the clinical benefits of monitoring solutions
- Support post-sale implementation with training, education, and ongoing technical assistance to promote sustained utilization
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to align clinical strategy with business objectives
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical leaders and decision-makers, to support product adoption
- Contribute to the creation of educational materials, sales tools, and clinical evidence strategies in partnership with internal teams
- Stay current with clinical trends in acute care and identify opportunities for process improvement in customer education
- Represent the organization at medical conferences, symposia, and industry events to strengthen clinician relationships
- Use Salesforce and analytics platforms to track territory performance and inform strategic planning
- Support the development of clinical champions and institutional protocols that enhance patient monitoring practices
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and reference sites
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree with at least four years of clinical experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with two years of direct patient care experience in acute care settings. A valid driver’s license is required. Preferred candidates will have critical care experience in OR, CVOR, NICU, or PICU environments, along with background in clinical education or medical device support.
Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience in team-based selling, healthcare innovation, or clinical curriculum development is highly valued. The role requires significant travel—approximately 75%—including regular overnight trips within the region and occasional national travel.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in the Orlando/Miami territory. While not tied to a fixed Medtronic facility, candidates must reside within the region and be prepared to travel frequently to multiple healthcare sites.
