At Trane Technologies, we are committed to delivering better and fairer care, always. We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. In this senior leadership role, you will be accountable for advancing safe, evidence-based Patient Blood Management (PBM) across the hospital and providing expert clinical consultancy to promote best practice.
What You'll Do
- Drive the ongoing advancement of clinical practice through leadership, research translation, and implementation of evidence-informed care.
- Lead the development and delivery of specialty education programs.
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders—including Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Educators, Clinical Consultants, Nursing Education, the Transfusion Laboratory, and Haematologists—to support integrated, high-quality patient care.
What We're Looking For
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- Minimum 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience.
- At least 3 years full time equivalent experience in haematology, transfusion practice, perioperative care or critical care.
- Approved postgraduate nursing qualification relevant to the field in which you are appointed or such other qualification or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
- Demonstrated expert clinical knowledge of Patient Blood Management (PBM) principles and transfusion practice, aligned with national PBM guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in research, audit, or quality‑improvement in transfusion or Patient Blood Management.
- Demonstrated high communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement and change‑management skills.
