Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with patients through phone, text, and email to collect necessary clinical intake data
- Act as the main contact for patient questions, providing clear and compassionate communication during intake
- Collect and confirm patient demographic, medical, and treatment details essential for starting care
- Arrange and verify therapy appointments in coordination with nursing agencies and infusion services
- Confirm patients have received medications and understand preparation steps before treatment begins
- Create detailed handoff materials for Care Coordinators, including summaries, documents, and action items
- Check patient eligibility and insurance benefits, including coverage details and out-of-pocket costs
- Assist in preparing prior authorization paperwork and monitor the status of approvals and renewals
- Recognize and report urgent medical or safety issues to clinical professionals following established procedures
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and electronic health record systems
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and protect patient privacy in all interactions and documentation
Other
- Proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is a plus
- This position requires regular direct communication with patients via phone, SMS, and email
