Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Clinical Informatics & Epic Training Specialist to serve as a critical liaison between hospital clinical areas and IT services. You will implement key clinical project initiatives related to our enterprise eHealth strategies and provide consultative support for the electronic health record.
What You'll Do
- Conduct current and future state analyses with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned enterprise-wide projects.
- Participate in the development, monitoring, and management of clinical system work teams to standardize work processes.
- Collaborate with the technical team on system design and perform testing to ensure specifications and clinical needs are met.
- Troubleshoot and track clinical system issues, assisting in creating downtime policies and procedures.
- Educate and instruct clinical and non-clinical users on system features, operations, and usage, assisting in process audits.
- Collaborate to plan, coordinate, provide, and evaluate entry-level, advanced, and continuing education on the clinical computer system for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop training materials for the clinical computer system and maintain testing scripts for all systems.
- Travel to physician offices, ambulatory, and hospital clinical centers to conduct analysis, meet with staff, and support implementations.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in IT, Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of clinical experience.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
