Cheshire, United Kingdom Hybrid Full-time

Dexcom Corporation is hiring a Clinical Implementation Specialist - North West England (Cheshire - Merseyside/Great Manchester/Lancashire and South Cumbria)

About the Role

This field-based position supports the effective integration of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems within healthcare settings across North West England. As a Clinical Implementation Specialist, you will deliver hands-on clinical education and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals during CGM initiation, follow-up, and ongoing use. Your expertise will ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable adoption of diabetes technology in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical assistance with sensor application, data analysis, and troubleshooting for patients and providers
  • Train and upskill healthcare teams to independently manage CGM education and support
  • Deliver virtual and in-person training sessions for clinicians and patients on CGM use, alerts, and interpretation of glucose metrics such as Time in Range
  • Serve as a clinical expert on CGM technology, including indications, contraindications, and integration into care pathways
  • Support new clinical sites during onboarding, ensuring smooth implementation of CGM services
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Patient Care, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory to share real-world insights and improve clinical materials
  • Work alongside sales colleagues to provide non-promotional, evidence-based clinical input
  • Develop educational content, workshops, and presentations to support training initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diabetes guidelines, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards
  • Document clinical activities and feedback using company systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and internal policies

Qualifications and Experience

You must be a registered healthcare professional—such as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse, Registered Nurse, or specialist Dietitian—with a minimum diploma-level education and at least three years of experience in diabetes or patient-focused care. Professional registration and a valid UK driving licence are required. You should have strong familiarity with glucose monitoring technology and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate diabetes training, experience in digital health or medical devices, or a background delivering structured patient education programmes. Comfort with technology and virtual communication platforms is essential.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid, field-based role requiring regular travel to hospitals, GP practices, and community clinics across Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and South Cumbria. You will work remotely from a home office with a mix of in-person and virtual engagements, including occasional evening or weekend support and overnight stays. Proximity to your assigned region—within approximately 75 miles (120km) of the designated site—is required.

Commitment to Compliance and Learning

All activities must align with regulatory standards, company policies, and professional guidelines. You will maintain current CPD records and contribute to the improvement of training resources and clinical support tools. Collaboration with NHS partners and approved providers will be key to delivering measurable service improvements.
