Memorial Healthcare System is hiring a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our Medical Fitness team. In this per diem, dayshift role, you will develop and implement exercise prescriptions for patients with various diagnoses, assessing patient response and modifying plans to meet individual needs. You will provide care in Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation or Medical Fitness settings, both inpatient and outpatient, as part of our dedication to improving health, well-being, and quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient progress in Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation or Medical Fitness programs.
• Recommend adjustments and modifications to exercise prescriptions based on patient response.
• Reassess and document patient's 30-day progress reports or medical fitness reports per CMS requirements.
• Help patients execute individual treatment plans by instructing, encouraging, and assisting them.
• Provide quality patient care through intake assessments, interpretation of test results, and development of safe exercise prescriptions.
• Develop and document individual treatment plans considering physician orders, medical history, and patient goals.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
• Provide inpatient cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation services, including identifying eligibility, providing education, and facilitating outpatient referrals.
• Develop and document discharge treatment plans with patients, families, physicians, and rehab staff.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a relevant field.

Nice to Have

• 2 years of experience in a rehabilitative care or medical fitness program setting.
• Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP by AACVPR) or Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP by ACSM) certification.
