Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is looking for a Clinical Budget Analyst to join our mission-driven team advancing the fight against cancer. In this remote US role, you will interpret clinical trial protocols from a financial perspective, develop budgets, negotiate pricing, and present proposals to executive management.
What You'll Do
- Create new budgets in Excel based on cost and charge information, analyzing each protocol to provide detailed counteroffers to sponsors.
- Negotiate budgets with sponsors and CROs to achieve favorable outcomes and establish relationships for future negotiations.
- Maintain and clearly communicate the status of all assigned budgets to executive management.
- Proactively communicate with clinical staff and management to clarify protocol specifics, standards of care, and billable items affecting the budget.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 1 year of work experience using basic financial principles, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools.
- At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
- Familiarity with clinical research and medical terminology.
- Analytical decision-making and project management capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and professional communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Functional knowledge of clinical trials.
