fme Global Life Sciences Unit (GLSU) is hiring a Client Engagement Director - Europe. This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role responsible for strategic client acquisition and long-term account development, with hunting as the primary focus. You will manage the complete sales cycle and ensure sustained client satisfaction across your territory.
What You'll Do
- Achieve annual sales quotas through active lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closing across both existing clients and new logo pursuits.
- Actively identify and develop new business within current accounts while nurturing long-term client relationships to expand solution adoption.
- Own the client relationship and engagement strategy through the sales cycle and deliver a seamless handoff to the delivery team post-sale.
- Participate in strategic project checkpoints like Steering Committees to maintain visibility and provide guidance for delivery execution.
- Remain accountable for overall client health, satisfaction, and success metrics, including proactive identification of follow-on opportunities.
- Own communication and remediation strategies for at-risk or escalated accounts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain executive-level relationships and ensure continued alignment with client stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the engagement and afterwards for retention and expansion.
- Simultaneously manage a book of business across mid-market and enterprise clients, ensuring both revenue retention and growth.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology, healthcare, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years in services sales with a software or service provider with a track record of successfully selling and overseeing complex and small-scale projects alike.
- Experience in technology implementation and migration projects within the life sciences industry (regulatory, quality, clinical) with regulated software such as 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11.
- Proficiency in CRM solutions like Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and implementation of enterprise life sciences technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
- Business fluent-level English proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
- Expected travel is up to 20% for client and prospect meetings as well as industry events and conferences.
