AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation is hiring a Claims Specialist - Disability to support the Voya Leave Management (VLM) department. You will guide claimants through their leave experience with empathy and clarity, focusing on Family Medical Leave (FMLA), state, military, company-specific leaves, and non-Short-Term Disability paid leaves.
What You'll Do
- Analyze FMLA and company leave policies to determine eligibility.
- Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in team-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage assigned work queues within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in FMLA or unpaid leave claims management.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Medical/vocational management experience.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
