Aurecon is seeking a Consultant, Program Performance to join our Defence team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be a trusted partner to our Defence clients in Victoria, developing a deep understanding of their challenges to co-create innovative solutions. This is a project management position critical to shaping the future of Defence infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Manage the execution of Capital Works projects for Defence bases in Victoria.
- Manage project schedules to ensure delivery meets client expectations, timeframes, and specifications.
- Manage greatly varying scopes of work from concept design through to handover.
- Manage change, quality, health, safety, and risk elements across projects.
- Support multiple concurrent projects across their entire life cycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, scheduling, and risk management.
- Report directly to the Portfolio Lead and Program Directors on project status, progress, and completion.
What We're Looking For

- A broad range of experience and the ability to demonstrate working as part of a team to bring ideas to life.
- Industry experience in a similar project management role.
- An excellent understanding of Project Management and a passion for infrastructure projects.
- Consultancy project management experience.
- Experience working within a Defence context.
- Qualifications in a technical discipline such as engineering, project management, construction management, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- You must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for security clearance as determined by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Defence-related project work.
