Sedgwick is looking for a Claims Examiner specializing in Workers Compensation to join our team. In this role, you will analyze claims on behalf of clients to determine benefits due, ensuring adjudication aligns with service expectations and industry best practices. What You'll Do
- Analyze and process workers compensation claims through well-developed action plans to reach an appropriate and timely resolution.
- Investigate and gather detailed information to determine the exposure on each claim.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within your designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing details clearly with the claimant and the client.
- Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for directions in a professional and timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Licensing and jurisdictional knowledge for the states of: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
