Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner - Liability to analyze mid- and higher-level general liability claims, determine benefits due, and ensure ongoing adjudication within industry best practices. In this remote role, you will be integral to managing complex claims and identifying subrogation opportunities.

What You'll Do

Manage mid-level general liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure.
Assign reserve values, make payments, and settle claims up to your designated authority level.
Assess liability and resolve claims within evaluation.
Approve and process assigned claims, determine benefits due, and manage action plans per the claim or client contract.
Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients.
Ensure claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.
Process complex lifetime medical and/or defined period medical claims, including state and physician filings.
Maintain professional client relationships and support the organization's quality programs.
Travel as required.

What We're Looking For

4 years of Liability claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Eastern or Central Time Zone location.
