We’re looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Designer to join our Christchurch Transport team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced Digital Designer, supporting major aviation, transport, highways, and renewable energy projects across New Zealand. This role is designed as a long-term development opportunity for someone eager to learn, grow, and build a specialist career in transport infrastructure design. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to complex infrastructure projects while receiving direct mentoring and technical guidance within a highly experienced and collaborative team environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-focused, technically curious, and excited about developing practical design capability in geometric design and civil infrastructure delivery. - Support planning, geometric design and civil drafting activities across transport and aviation projects - Work alongside senior engineers and designers on major infrastructure programmes - Contribute to aviation, highways, urban infrastructure, and renewable energy projects - Assist with technical documentation, modelling, and project coordination - Develop technical capability through hands-on mentoring and training - Build long-term capability within a nationally recognised digital design team
