Uptalent.io is hiring a Civil Engineer to specialize in utility coordination for NCDOT submittals. In this role, you will design engineering plans for water, sewer, and dry utilities, ensuring projects adhere to codes and are delivered on time and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop detailed engineering plans for water line, sewer line, and dry utility coordination (fiber optic, electric, phone, etc.).
- Ensure all projects comply with local and national building codes and regulations in North Carolina.
- Work with contractors to effectively manage project timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical advice and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
What We're Looking For
- An engineering degree with 6 to 10 years of experience or an experienced CAD drafter with 10+ years of experience.
- Mandatory MicroStation Geopak experience.
- Direct experience with NCDOT roadway and profiles.
- Proven background in Utility Design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities with a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
