About the Role
The role involves working on civil design projects using MicroStation GeoPak, focusing on roadway design, site development, and infrastructure planning. The engineer will produce technical drawings, support project documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and compliant designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop civil engineering designs using MicroStation GeoPak software
- Produce detailed construction drawings and plans
- Support roadway and highway design projects
- Perform grading and site layout modeling
- Collaborate with survey data for accurate modeling
- Ensure designs comply with local and federal standards
- Assist in project documentation and deliverables
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams
- Review design outputs for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
- Create horizontal and vertical alignments
- Generate cross sections and profiles
- Apply civil design best practices in daily tasks
- Maintain organized project files and layers
- Troubleshoot software-related design issues
- Support permitting and submittal processes
- Work with CAD standards and templates
- Integrate field data into design models
- Assist in quantity takeoffs and estimates
- Ensure consistency across design packages
