RE/SPEC Inc. is looking for a Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Anchorage, AK office. In this hands-on design role, you will work on a variety of multidiscipline projects for public and private sector clients, primarily within our Transportation Market Sector across Alaska.
What You'll Do
- Design various types of civil engineering projects for public and private sector clients.
- Work on a variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects in the Transportation Market Sector.
- Potentially design infrastructure in remote locations, develop renewable energy solutions, or apply data-driven technology to improve systems.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Engineer-in-Training certification or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.
Nice to Have
- Experience in construction.
- Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating.
- Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site and roadway improvement projects.
