About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Cisco networking solutions, including routers, switches, and firewalls, while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security across local and wide area networks.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Cisco networking hardware and configurations
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Implement and maintain firewall and security policies
- Support voice and data network infrastructure
- Configure and manage VLANs and routing protocols
- Perform regular system updates and firmware upgrades
- Document network architecture and changes
- Respond to network outages and emergencies
- Ensure compliance with security standards and audits
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects
- Optimize network capacity and bandwidth usage
- Administer access control lists and network segmentation
- Support remote site connectivity via VPN and MPLS
- Conduct network capacity planning
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity efforts
- Maintain accurate configuration management databases
- Evaluate new networking technologies for integration
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff
- Ensure high availability of critical network services
- Participate in change management processes
