About the Role

BetterHelp (via TensorOps) seeks a Chief Operating Officer to serve as the key strategic partner to the CEO. This role requires a versatile leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, optimize costs while maintaining quality, and ensure seamless coordination across all business functions in a high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the right hand to the CEO, providing strategic counsel and operational leadership.
  • Translate company vision and strategy into actionable operational plans and executable initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, systems, and best practices to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead company-wide cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets across departments, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee and coordinate strategic projects and initiatives across the organization.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to oversee product development roadmaps.
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across operational functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years in a senior executive role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost optimization and financial management with measurable results.
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes and technology roadmap management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience in e-commerce, payments, or fintech industries.
  • Track record of successful business transformation and change management initiatives.
  • Experience with remote or distributed team management.
  • Technical background or strong technical acumen.
  • Previous experience supporting a CEO or founder in a COO or similar executive capacity.
