BetterHelp (via TensorOps) seeks a Chief Operating Officer to serve as the key strategic partner to the CEO. This role requires a versatile leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, optimize costs while maintaining quality, and ensure seamless coordination across all business functions in a high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the right hand to the CEO, providing strategic counsel and operational leadership.
- Translate company vision and strategy into actionable operational plans and executable initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and implement operational processes, systems, and best practices to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Lead company-wide cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Develop and manage operational budgets across departments, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Oversee and coordinate strategic projects and initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to oversee product development roadmaps.
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across operational functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost optimization and financial management with measurable results.
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep understanding of product development processes and technology roadmap management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Nice to Have
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience in e-commerce, payments, or fintech industries.
- Track record of successful business transformation and change management initiatives.
- Experience with remote or distributed team management.
- Technical background or strong technical acumen.
- Previous experience supporting a CEO or founder in a COO or similar executive capacity.
