The CMA CGM Group, a global leader in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions, is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to be based in Port of Spain, Trinidad. In this critical role, you will define and maintain efficient processes to ensure accurate financial information, proper control, and compliance. You will evaluate risks and rewards to support strategic decision-making and contribute directly to achieving the company’s objectives through resource optimization and risk management.
What You'll Do
- Manage team performance, including reviews and development plans, and ensure proper change implementation.
- Recruit and integrate staff with HR, providing direction, coaching, and promoting a culture of feedback.
- Provide the General Manager with dashboards, analysis, and recommendations to evaluate financial performance.
- Support Top Management in M&A operations and propose process improvements for reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Drive the promotion of a financial culture among non-financial managers through communication and training.
- Constantly analyze opportunities for cost reduction and revenue increase, interacting with Directors to optimize operations.
- Contribute to strategic and budget planning by translating decisions into figures and forecasting needs.
- Manage the company's financial resources, cash flow, and maintain rigid control of collections and payments.
- Implement new Credit, Collection, and Treasury policies to reduce risk and align with audit and group policies.
- Ensure all tax obligations are paid and reported on time across the group of countries, minimizing risk and penalties.
- Prepare reporting for consolidation under IFRS rules and manage all internal and external audits to ensure timely completion.
- Propose new tools and processes to improve business performance while maintaining strict internal control.
What We're Looking For
- ACCA Qualified and/or a Master’s in Finance/Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Proficient in written and oral communication, comfortable presenting virtually and in person.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar senior financial leadership role.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a multi-national company.
- Experience managing Accounting/Finance teams across a region and good comprehension of tax requirements.
- Experience managing multiple audits.

Team & Environment
You will manage the local Finance team and the finance teams in associated entities across the Caribbean. The role involves establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with the Regional Office. You will report directly to the General Manager.

This is an onsite position located in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
