Requirements
- Demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance & troubleshooting and be multi-skilled in other areas (pipe fitting/plumbing, electrical) in order to successfully complete work assignments.
- Regular/predictable attendance and timeliness in order to support the needs of the team and the client.
- Work independently and as a team and serve as a role model for supporting team members.
- Make justifiable business decisions taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of each individual situation.
- Ensure that the SOPs for the facilities are well-understood amongst the maintenance team who perform work on the building’s critical infrastructure.
- Subject to be on-call 24 hours per day and required to work in all weather conditions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (TEAMS, Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Must have the ability to use a computer and smartphone and navigate multiple email accounts.
- Effective use of CMMS (Corrigo knowledge is a plus) to maintain KPI requirements.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Finance/Budget general knowledge to assist Facility Manager.
- Communicate well with varying levels of staff, contractors/vendors and customers both verbally and in written form.
- The ability to teach others by “doing”.
- Experience in Critical facilities, Lab environments, and Higher Education environments is recommended.
- Associate degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience.
- Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s required.

- The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds & climb up to 30 ft. ladders.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- The working environment and location can change based on factors such as but not limited to work orders submitted, workloads at various sites, etc.
- The employee is required to be on-site within ~45 minutes for any emergencies.
