Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Chief Engineer

At Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), we are looking for a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and operation of all building systems. You will develop strategic maintenance plans, manage a team, and ensure the safety and efficiency of the facility while collaborating on financial targets.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of all building systems.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans.
• Ensure site safety and maintain crucial documentation.
• Efficiently schedule work using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Administer the JLL Client Assurance Program.
• Manage major projects and collaborate on achieving financial targets.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Be multi-skilled in pipe fitting/plumbing and electrical work.
• Ensure standard operating procedures for facilities are well-understood by the maintenance team.
• Be on-call 24 hours per day and work in all weather conditions.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and assist with the personal development of maintenance staff.

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience.
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (TEAMS, Outlook, Word and Excel).
• Ability to use a computer and smartphone and navigate multiple email accounts.
• Effective use of CMMS (Corrigo knowledge is a plus) to maintain KPI requirements.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Finance/Budget general knowledge to assist the Facility Manager.
• Communicate well with varying levels of staff, contractors/vendors, and customers both verbally and in written form.
• The ability to teach others by 'doing'.
• Strong people management and team leading skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Critical facilities, Lab environments, and Higher Education environments is recommended.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of engineers, with supervisory responsibilities supported by the assigned Facility Manager. This role reports directly to the Facility Manager.
