The Trevor Project is hiring a Chief Advancement Officer to provide strategic leadership for all fundraising and development activities. This is a critical executive role responsible for securing the philanthropic resources essential for our mission of providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year advancement strategy to significantly increase philanthropic revenue.
Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing advancement team.
Cultivate and secure major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
Partner with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior leaders to align fundraising with organizational priorities.
Oversee all fundraising channels, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and special events.
Establish key performance indicators and reporting systems to track progress against ambitious revenue goals.

What We're Looking For

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising and development.
Proven track record of personally securing and managing seven- and eight-figure major gifts.
Experience building and leading successful advancement or development teams in a complex organization.
Deep understanding of best practices in major gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills.
Passion for and commitment to The Trevor Project’s mission of supporting LGBTQ youth.
