About the Role

The role involves preparing meals for guests and staff, maintaining kitchen and facility standards, and assisting with day-to-day operations in a remote environment. Candidates must work collaboratively as a pair, sharing duties that span cooking, cleaning, customer interaction, and light maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve daily meals for guests and team members
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with food safety standards
  • Manage inventory and stock levels for food and supplies
  • Assist in ordering provisions and tracking deliveries
  • Support guest service operations during tours and events
  • Undertake routine cleaning of communal and kitchen areas
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adapt menus based on availability of supplies and dietary needs
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere in isolated conditions
  • Handle cash and manage small-scale guest transactions
  • Ensure waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide local information
  • Maintain records for food usage and equipment maintenance
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Support emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Use radios or satellite communication as required
  • Conserve water and energy in line with environmental practices
  • Follow remote medical and evacuation procedures
  • Participate in team briefings and operational planning
  • Uphold brand standards for service and presentation
  • Manage freezer and refrigeration units effectively
  • Handle outdoor cooking equipment and fuel systems
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives on site
