A language service organization connects bilingual and multilingual professionals with opportunities to serve as freelance interpreters or translators. Our goal is to facilitate communication for those requiring language assistance through compassionate and high-quality services. We are recruiting Chatino Interpreters to work as independent contractors. As an interpreter, you make a meaningful societal contribution by supporting language accessibility for individuals with varying English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you manage your schedule, determine availability, and select appointments accordingly. Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Appointment availability is not guaranteed and depends on organizational needs. Interpreter compensation varies based on language demand, personal experience, and scheduling flexibility. Qualification Criteria: - Bilingual fluency with comprehensive understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances - Prior interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational domains - Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and workplace adaptability - Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities - Technological communication proficiency - Versatility in navigating diverse work environments Requirements: - US residency and work authorization - High School Diploma or equivalent; interpreting certification preferred Application Process: - Submit professional/volunteer interpreting background - Recruitment team conducts preliminary interview - Complete skills assessment and background verification - Qualified candidates integrated into linguistic professional network Our organization is a minority-owned business dedicated to providing comprehensive language solutions.
