Ford is hiring a Chassis Controls Software Application Design and Release Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Manage software and calibration delivery timelines, builds, over-the-air updates, and change control processes.
  • Guide external partners through the organization's global product development framework.
  • Contribute to the development and support of driver assistance technologies.
  • Deliver software change packages, including release documentation and functional validation.
  • Implement cross-module communication systems such as over-the-air updates and end-to-end protocols.
  • Analyze and resolve diagnostic trouble codes, including early quality detection issues.
  • Assist in creating and refining service documentation for technical teams.
  • Support breadboard and hardware-in-the-loop testing environments, including troubleshooting and updates.
  • Participate in prototype vehicle builds, root cause analysis, and software flashing.
  • Release and maintain diagnostic specifications for vehicle systems.
  • Ensure software aligns with centralized requirements and standards.
  • Lead technical design reviews for software components.
  • Support end-of-line configurations and issue resolution at manufacturing plants.
  • Engage in agile software development methodologies and related processes.
  • Contribute to the definition of chassis control system requirements.
  • Assess and integrate new software development tools and workflows.
