Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and design integrity
- Supervise and mentor early-career engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project acquisition and successful delivery
- Produce detailed technical reports with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Apply advanced analytical methods to evaluate foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and ground anchors
- Support capability growth in geotechnical engineering within energy and infrastructure markets
- Travel as needed for short-term assignments across the UK and internationally
Qualifications and Skills
- Chartered status with a recognized professional body in civil engineering or geology
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geology, plus a postgraduate qualification in geotechnics
- Proven experience in technical leadership and managing geotechnical design projects
- Strong analytical background with proficiency in tools such as GeoStudio, Repute, and Wallap
- Experience in consultancy environments with a focus on design and project delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, self-checked technical documentation
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel
Preferred Experience
- Background in Design and Build project delivery models
- Exposure to digital engineering methods, including the use of AI or machine learning applications in geotechnical analysis
