Itron is hiring a Channel Sales Manager

About the Role

Itron is hiring a Channel Sales Manager to drive sales growth for our business lines through indirect channel partners across North America's water, electric, and gas utilities. You will manage relationships with distributor and agent partners, support opportunity management, and execute sales strategies within an assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Drive sales growth within the assigned territory through channel partners, meeting or exceeding quota targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with distributor and agent partners to promote Itron solutions.
  • Provide partners with technology and solution presentations, demonstrations, and enablement resources.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline development, and opportunity tracking using Salesforce.
  • Support internal sales processes and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Prepare market and product data for staff meetings and presentations.
  • Assist partners with operational needs post-tender award.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management decisions and issue resolution.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience selling complex solutions to utilities and municipalities.
  • Proven success managing distributor or reseller partner relationships.
  • Strategic sales experience with demonstrated ability to achieve results in a matrixed, international environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and strong analytical skills for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment toward shared goals.
  • Strong decision-making skills, accountability, and adaptability in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hardware, software, and services sales in the utilities or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with indirect channel strategies and partner enablement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver customer-centric solutions.

You will be part of the Americas Indirect Channel Sales Team, reporting to the Americas AVP of Channel Sales.

  • Compensation range: $96,000-$220,000
