We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Gameplay Animator to join our team for a 2-years fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Gameplay Designers, Programmers, and Technical Animators to create lifelike and immersive animations. You’ll be responsible for planning and crafting animation sets that bring our Player and NPC’s to life, enhancing gameplay and aligning with the game’s overall vision. Daily responsibilities
- Delivering in-game animations using MotionBuilder, Autodesk Maya, and Unreal Engine as the main art creation and implementation tools.
- Planning, preparing, and directing motion capture sessions.
- Establishing and maintaining animation asset creation workflows, folders, naming conventions and other engine-related organizational structures.
- Planning and co-developing multiple Player and NPC--related animation systems, including MotionMatching Systems, animation graphs, procedural animation setups, and engine-specific auxiliary data such as notification and synchronization events, and additional data settings files.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with motion capture data and key-frame animation.
- Both Technical and Artistically oriented.
- Solid understanding of animation principles and body mechanics.
- Production proven game experience with at least one title released.
- Good grasp and understanding of gameplay design.
- Strong knowledge of the latest Unreal Engine animation and gameplay-related systems.
- Very good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of Python and the ability to read scripts or C++ code will be a plus.
- Fluent English.
