Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
- Welcome, greet, and assist customers while processing purchases efficiently and accurately, including scanning items, bagging orders, and collecting tenders using Farm Boy Service Standards.
- Share your knowledge and passion for Farm Boy products while assisting customers with questions and product information.
- Learn and apply product codes quickly and accurately to ensure timely checkout service.
- Handle all cash and tender transactions responsibly, including balancing tills and maintaining payment accuracy.
- Support store operations by answering and directing incoming phone calls as needed.
- Assist with the safe handling and sale of alcohol at applicable locations (Smart Serve certification required or willingness to obtain).
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work, storage, and front-of-store areas through general housekeeping duties, including cart retrieval from the parking area.
- Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
- Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.

- Thriving in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to Have
- Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- For locations selling alcohol: a minimum age of 18 years and successful completion of Smart Serve certification (or willingness to complete).
- French language skills considered an asset.
