Barclays is looking for a Cash Management Specialist to join our Transaction Banking team in Frankfurt. You will support the European cash management sales team, working closely with product, tax, legal, finance, and compliance professionals to deliver commercially viable solutions. Your role will help position Barclays as a market leader through innovative cash and liquidity capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments.
- Identify potential customers, analyse their needs and preferences, and stay abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
- Create detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches.
- Manage potential and existing customer relations through high-quality customer support, responding to queries and resolving issues.
- Understand the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services.
- Develop compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback on products and services to support the development of reports for stakeholders.
- Monitor lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance.
- Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a business development or sales team.
- Good knowledge of the corporate and financial markets.
- Good knowledge of cash management, liquidity and global payment solutions.
- Experience with cash sales management; pipeline and stakeholder management.
- Good commerciality and understanding of relative value of deposits and money transmission.
- Good understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory governance.
- Understanding of global and regional payments regulations.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of complex cash management solutions.
- Experience of liquidity solutions including off balance sheet solutions.
- Knowledge of FX payments solutions and multicurrency solutions.
- An understanding of market infrastructures and clearing and settlement systems.
- Familiarity with SWIFT, XML ISO 20022, MT Messaging, FileAct.
- Support with sales cycle management.
- Fluent in German.

You will support VP and Directors within the Global Specialist Cash Sales team.
