Role Overview
This position leads a team of Senior Fund Accountants and Account Supervisors, focusing on accurate net asset value (NAV) calculations and timely client deliverables within the Fund Administration division based in Malta. The role plays a central part in maintaining financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily NAV production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Manage client reporting cycles and coordinate delivery of financial statements
- Lead onboarding processes for new funds and transitions
- Participate in meetings covering financial deliverables, audits, and control frameworks
- Maintain and enhance SSAE 18 and ISAE 3402 compliance controls
- Respond to client inquiries in line with service standards
- Ensure adherence to financial services regulations and industry requirements
- Review and authorize payments through bank systems
- Prepare and verify financial statements
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, addressing queries efficiently
- Monitor administration fees and stakeholder payments
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with a minimum of four years’ experience in fund administration. Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage complex tasks under pressure, and resolve issues effectively is essential. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are required, along with advanced proficiency in Word and Excel. Prior experience in team leadership is expected.
Familiarity with accounting standards such as UK GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP, or US GAAP is advantageous.
