About the Role
This role supports students in identifying career paths and securing internships by delivering individual advising, developing educational content, and building relationships with employers and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one career counseling to students at all levels
- Assist students in identifying career goals and creating action plans
- Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies
- Develop and manage internship opportunities in collaboration with academic departments
- Build partnerships with employers to expand experiential learning options
- Organize career fairs and networking events for student participation
- Create digital content to support career education and outreach
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into curricula
- Track student outcomes and program effectiveness using data tools
- Support underrepresented and first-generation students in career exploration
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor market trends and industry demands
- Promote inclusive practices in all career development programming
- Assist in the development of employer recruitment initiatives
- Coordinate on-campus interview programs for student access to employers
- Advise student groups on career-related topics and skill development
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, and faculty about career services
- Contribute to departmental goals through team projects and planning
- Use student information systems to document advising sessions and outcomes
- Support program assessment through data collection and reporting
- Participate in professional development to enhance service delivery
- Ensure compliance with university policies and confidentiality standards
- Foster a welcoming and accessible environment for diverse student populations
- Manage logistics for career-related events and employer engagements
- Evaluate new technologies and platforms to improve student engagement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of career services operations
