Pathward is seeking a Capital Markets Analyst I to contribute to efforts that identify, evaluate, and achieve strategic business opportunities. You will work on new Capital Markets structured finance initiatives designed to optimize the bank’s balance sheet and improve financial performance. This role provides essential analytical and operational support for the Capital Markets team.
What You'll Do
- Assist in evaluating, structuring, and executing potential new Capital Markets structured finance opportunities including securitization, whole loan sales, and forward flow agreements.
- Assist in reviewing Lender Finance/Warehouse term sheets and legal documentation, assessing deal risk and return metrics, and preparing deal approval write-ups and presentations for the Executive Credit Committee.
- Assist with day-to-day warehouse lending operations including preparing advance/paydown requests and reviewing borrowing base and compliance reporting.
- Develop and execute ongoing controls, mitigation plans, testing, and oversight of the warehouse lending business.
- Identify and implement new concepts, best practices, and approaches related to Capital Markets reporting and operational & credit risk management.
- Assist in overseeing all third-party Capital Markets financial and operational audits.
- Assist in overseeing all Capital Markets due diligence, financial modeling, risk management, and legal documentation.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and assist in building complex transaction models for new and existing warehouse-structured finance transactions in a collaborative environment.
- Support the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets in other assigned tasks related to the Bank’s Structured Finance Business.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field or equivalent education and work experience.
- Up to 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills.

You will support the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets as part of our structured finance business team.

- Compensation range: $60,000 – $100,500.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model and is open to candidates working remotely or from our offices in Sioux Falls, SD; Scottsdale, AZ; Louisville, KY; Troy, MI; Franklin, TN; or Easton, PA.
