Freshpaint is hiring a Candidate & Employee Experience Specialist to build and scale a seamless experience from first candidate interaction through employee onboarding. You will own the hiring and onboarding engine, designing systems to ensure every touchpoint reflects our company standards.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end candidate experience from application through offer acceptance.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the process.
- Identify friction in the hiring process and proactively improve it.
- Maintain clean, accurate ATS data and drive scorecard completion in Ashby.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to keep hiring processes organized and moving quickly.
- Design and operate a structured onboarding experience that helps new hires ramp quickly.
- Continuously improve the candidate and onboarding experience based on feedback and operational insights.
- Ensure every interaction with Freshpaint feels thoughtful, organized, and high-ownership.
What We're Looking For
- Extreme proficiency in Ashby.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong bias for action and high attention to detail.
- Systems mindset for operational work.
- Comfortable working across recruiting, hiring managers, and people operations teams.
- Think like an owner, run toward problems, and take initiative to fix what isn't working.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing or improving employee onboarding programs.
- Experience working closely with People Ops or HR teams on new hire onboarding.
- Prior experience supporting hiring across both technical and GTM roles.
- Experience with Juicebox and Justworks.
- Experience at an early stage or high growth SaaS startup.
- Strong candidate communication or employer brand instincts.
