As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing advanced scientific systems at customer sites. Your responsibilities include on-site installation, configuration, and repair of integrated hardware, software, and network solutions, ensuring seamless operation across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site setup, calibration, and optimization of system components, including peripherals and communication modules
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting performance, minimizing operational downtime
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs to uphold system reliability
- Advise clients on best practices for preventive maintenance and system configurations
- Proactively monitor equipment to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations
- Collaborate with support, sales, and R&D teams to develop effective customer solutions
- Escalate and manage technical challenges, serving as a point of expertise within the organization
- Deliver training sessions for customers or fellow engineers when required
- Support credentialing processes to ensure access to customer facilities as needed
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. Relevant postgraduate certifications may be required. A minimum of three years of applicable experience is expected, along with strong communication abilities and a cooperative mindset. Familiarity with third-party technologies is a plus.
Work Environment
This role follows a hybrid model with flexibility to work remotely. You must meet credentialing standards set by customers and vendors to access on-site locations.
