Matrix is seeking a Camp Kitchen Attendant for a remote, fly-in/fly-out project location in Canada. In this independent role, you will perform primary kitchen and camp maintenance responsibilities in a remote, picturesque environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
- Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
- Perform dish washing and cleaning according to the camp's Food Safety Plan.
- Make sandwiches daily, as per directed menu plans, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Support food-safe storage and labeling of potential food allergy items.
- Ensure food storage areas are organized.
- Wash and replace bed linens as required.
- Clean and sanitize common spaces, including the TV room, dining room, and laundry room.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a remote camp as a Camp/Kitchen Attendant.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk, stand for long periods, and perform physical labor.
- Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10–12 hour shift.
Team & Environment
Reports to the Executive Chef.
Benefits & Compensation
- 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off rotational schedule.
- Charter flights from Edmonton, AB, or Yellowknife, NT provided.
- All food and accommodations provided.
- Travel allowance offered.
- Compensation: $295 per day, based on a 12-hour shift.

This is an onsite role at a remote Canadian project location.
