Valvoline Global Operations is looking for a Procurement Specialist II (Buyer) to manage spend and vendor relationships for our Indirect Purchasing category. This role owns a portfolio of corporate services, including EH&S, Engineering, IT, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Supply Chain, contributing to vendor selection, strategic sourcing, and contract management.
What You'll Do
- Act as Valvoline's subject matter expert for your designated area, providing analysis and support to sales and marketing teams.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key materials, including RFQ execution, market forecasting, and tactical planning.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contractual conditions to deliver optimal cost and support financial objectives.
- Ensure vendors are appropriately chosen, managed, and monitored to mitigate supply, environmental, cyber, and legal risks.
- Establish and measure quality standards, ensuring they remain up to date and are consistently met.
- Use relationship management techniques to generate maximum long-term value through Supplier Relationship Management.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience or work in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated negotiation experience with both commercial terms (pricing) and common contractual terms and conditions.
- Background in Indirect Purchasing for corporate services, with an understanding of data privacy regulations, IT/SaaS contracts, and contract management best practices.
