The Business Systems Engineer will serve as the lead architect of Applied Intuition's corporate data ecosystem, responsible for integrating core enterprise systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Workday, and Pigment to provide a unified, real-time view of global operations. This role enables data-driven strategic decisions by ensuring seamless, scalable integration across finance and HR systems.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain mission-critical integrations between core enterprise systems, including Oracle NetSuite (ERP), Workday (HRIS), and Pigment (FP&A)
- Develop and manage data pipelines and API-led architectures to ensure data integrity and real-time synchronization across the business stack
- Partner closely with Finance and People Operations to automate complex workflows and eliminate manual data entry, reducing operational risk
- Lead the selection, implementation, and management of iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Tray.io, MuleSoft) to standardize how we connect global SaaS applications
- Define and document enterprise data standards and integration protocols to ensure a consistent source of truth for all business-critical KPIs
- Proactively identify and resolve complex system bottlenecks, ensuring that our finance teams can generate accurate reports and forecasts with zero downtime
- Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise architecture, mentoring junior IT and systems staff on scalability and best practices
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in business systems engineering, enterprise architecture, or a related integration-heavy role in a fast-paced environment
- Deep technical expertise with Oracle NetSuite and Workday APIs, including experience managing complex data migrations or system overhauls
- Hands-on experience with multi-dimensional planning tools like Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights
- Proficiency in at least one major iPaaS platform (e.g., Workato, Tray.io, Boomi) and advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or SQL) for custom integration logic
- Strong understanding of financial concepts (e.g., GL, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash) and HR lifecycles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design architectures that balance long-term scalability with immediate business needs
Nice to Have
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment preparing for public company readiness (SOX compliance)
- Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) integrations and the broader lead-to-revenue ecosystem
- Advanced certifications in NetSuite (SuiteCloud Developer) or Workday (Integration Consultant)
- Experience with data warehousing and BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, or Looker)

Compensation: $130,000 - $165,000 USD annually, plus equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, and learning and wellness stipends.
Work Mode
Employees primarily work from the office 5 days a week, with flexibility for occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. Office locations include Sunnyvale, California; Washington, D.C.; San Diego; Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Ann Arbor, Michigan; London; Stuttgart; Munich; Stockholm; Bangalore; Seoul; and Tokyo.
