BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Business Systems Analyst Specialist to act as the face of the Enterprise API Services team. You will gather requirements and refinements, support customers implementing new or updated APIs, and ensure clear communication and alignment on project timelines and best practices.
What You'll Do
- Provide recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues for a specific business group.
- Direct business process improvement projects to improve business results.
- Identify and document all system constraints, implications, and consequences of proposed system changes.
- Provide direction in assessing change impact, defining business rules, and implementing solutions across functions.
- Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring statements are complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, and verifiable.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure results satisfy needs embodied in the requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in requirements gathering, documentation, and translation.
- Serve in project team roles such as project lead, business systems analyst lead, or technical lead for small to medium efforts, or manage phases of medium to large efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.
- 1 year of experience leading requirements development efforts.
- 1 year of extensive systems analysis, design and project management experience.
- 3 years of experience in Information Technology and systems analysis.
- Knowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical/complex concepts into meaningful information for project teams and business personnel.
- Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Possess skills of paying attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

- Experience with healthcare technology.
